Annette Anleu, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Annette Anléu became interested in the veterinary profession because of her love of animals. She worked with a local veterinarian in Louisiana while still in high school. She went on to pursue a degree in Animal Science, earning a BS in Agriculture, followed by her DVM in 2002.

She joined the Ellwood Animal Hospital staff in 2002; since that time, she has formed many long-term relationships with staff and pet owners in our community. In addition to enjoying working with our team, her most rewarding experiences treating pets in our facility, include diagnosing and treating pets with chronic illnesses and aging diseases, and then using her skills to return pets to their former quality of life.

Dr. Anléu treats pet dogs, cats, ferrets, and other pocket pets. She performs dozens of imaging techniques each week, including digital radiography and diagnostic ultrasound, and echocardiography.

Currently, Dr. Anléu performs ultrasound services at the Ellwood Animal Hospital. Drs. Maro and Anléu often coordinate patient care, utilizing imaging techniques and alternative services to monitor and treat cancer and internal medicine cases. This teamwork gives pet owners more options for their pets' care. Dr. Anléu studied veterinary spinal manipulation at the Healing Oasis post-graduate program in Wisconsin with Dr. Pedro Rivera and is certified in VSMT for the treatment of animal chiropractic subluxations.

In her free time, Dr. Anléu spends time with her family and friends and her 2 cats, and she enjoys the outdoors, working out, swimming, and working with her local YMCA.
